Weeknight BBQ Chicken Pizza

Need a quick dinner idea for school nights? This BBQ chicken pizza recipe is ready in minutes. Here’s how to make homemade pizza with store bought dough (read: pita or naan bread from your deli is the shortcut of dreams) and make sure that once everyone’s at the table, it’s phones down and forks up. Use our Sugar Free sauce and deliver a healthy homemade pizza night.

INGREDIENTS

Pita or naan bread, one for each person served
Olive oil
Mozzarella cheese, 8 oz., shredded
Chicken, 1 lb., cooked and either cubed or shredded (leftover chicken works great here)
Bacon, 1 lb, cooked and crumbled
Red onion, halved and thinly sliced
Head Country Bar-B-Q Sauce, your favorite flavor
Cilantro, finely chopped

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine 1/2 c. BBQ sauce with chicken.

Brush pita with olive oil and add to a large baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake in pre-heated oven for 3 minutes.

Drizzle crusts with BBQ sauce. Add general sprinkle of cheese. Top with chicken, bacon, and onion, finishing with a light sprinkle of cheese.

Bake pizzas in oven until cheese is melted and bubbly. Drizzle with more BBQ sauce. Top with chopped cilantro. Slice, serve, and enjoy!

NOTE:
These pizzas can be prepared on the grill. Heat grill to high heat, follow instructions as above, and enjoy the extra flavor.
