COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Homemade popcorn cooked on the stove: is there anything better on a cool, crisp night when you have your family gathered and your favorite movie queued up? We’ve been making this popcorn recipe at home for when it’s time to make movie-night snacks, and we love how it’s helping us make memories and build new traditions for nights at home.

Our Championship Seasoning—in your choice of Original, High Plains Heat, or Sweet & Sticky—makes for the perfect popcorn seasoning recipe, and it takes this quick, easy, and healthy snack idea to a whole new level of deliciousness. We’re amazed that this family favorite takes just three ingredients and about 10 minutes to make. It’s also perfect for beginner cooks and those kiddos who are aspiring chefs.

Add 1/4 c. oil to a large pot or saucepan (with a lid) and turn heat to medium-high. Once oil shimmers, add a popcorn kernel and place the lid on the pan.

When the kernel pops, that means it’s time to load in the rest of the kernels. Lift lid, add kernels, and turn the heat to low. After about 1 minute, turn the heat back up to medium. Shake the pan on the burner continuously to cook the kernels evenly. Make sure steam is allowed to escape once the kernels start popping by cracking the lid just a bit.

Cook the kernels until popping slows to one or two pops per every five seconds. Remove popped kernels to a large bowl.

Drizzle popcorn with remaining olive oil. Shake Head Country Championship Seasoning generously over popcorn. Toss popcorn to distribute oil and seasoning. Serve immediately to hungry friends and family. Don’t forget to watch the video above to learn how to fold individual serving-size popcorn bags.
