One of the best side dishes in BBQ is just a few ingredients and a slow simmer away. These BBQ baked beans come together quickly and easily while the brisket or ribs you just pulled from the smoker take a rest. Be sure to taste often for seasoning—you have our permission.
1 C. Head Country Bar-B-Q Sauce—try Hickory Smoke, The Original, or Honey
1 55-oz can Bush’s Baked Beans Original, drained out
½ C. diced onion
½ C. diced green pepper
2 tsp. cumin (optional)
Mix all ingredients in a heavy-bottomed skillet or pan. Heat through over medium-low heat for at least 30 minutes. Can be simmered longer, if needed. Serve, and enjoy!
